Beginners courses are run on a regular basis. The course is usually on Saturday mornings.The course runs for six weeks and costs £40 for over 18's and £20 for under 18's and is a one off charge for the six weeks. For your money you will receive one-on-one tuition from qualified coaches and experience archers, as well as the use of all club equipment. Once you have completed the course you will receive your first years membership to the club for free, however there will be an additional charge for GNAS membership.

We are a small club based at Walker Technology College in the east end of Newcastle.
We currently have a membership of approximately 30 members of varying ages and abilities. We cater for everyone from the ages of 10 and up.

There is always some one around for advice. The club currently has two qualified coaches and several members on the County squads, so if you just want to query the basics, get advice on gear selection or even querying the rule book, the chances are someone will know the answer or where to find it.

Here at the Bowmen of Walker, we see the club as a performance club and believe in helping every member to shoot to their potential. However, it is just as important to us that we give back to the community.
